Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for an acute care hospital, requiring 2 years of cath lab experience and a SC or compact RN license.
Details
- Cath Lab unit with 1 procedure room and a pre/post procedure area with 4 bays
- Team consists of 3 full-time nurses with 2 RNs staffing the pre/post area
- Day shift, 4x10 hours, Monday-Friday 6:30am-5:00pm
- Occasional weekend STEMI coverage required with participation in STEMI call during scheduled periods
- On-call required Monday-Saturday for post-PCI patient callbacks
- No floating between service lines or to sister facilities
- Cerner charting preferred
- Block scheduling may be accommodated pending manager approval and unit needs
Requirements
- Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
- Skills in circulating procedures, procedural sedation monitoring/administration, cardiac cath lab procedures, scrub procedures, and electrophysiology procedures
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Radiation badge required, to be provided by agency
- SSN and driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Acute care hospital with 286 staffed beds
- Scrubs provided
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius to be prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate
- Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted upfront and is subject to facility approval
- Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
- First-time travelers accepted
- During hurricane season (June-November), all staff including travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams
