Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a night shift acute care position requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and mechanical ventilation skills.

Details

  • Acute care inpatient/ED setting
  • Adult patient population
  • Handles 5-6 ventilator treatments per day
  • Uses EPIC EMR
  • Equipment includes 840/980 ventilators, V60, and Vapotherm
  • Night shift, 1800-0630
  • Every other weekend required
  • Possible holiday requirement
  • No call or standby requirement
  • No floating required
  • Never the sole RT in-house during a shift

Requirements

  • Active RRT certification preferred; CRT will be considered
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Critical care and mechanical ventilation experience required
  • Skilled in drawing and analyzing ABGs from arterial lines and punctures
  • Able to assist with intubations
  • License required if applicable
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

  • Work alongside a lead therapist on each shift who also carries a caseload
  • Hospitalist or intensivist coverage available in-house
  • Department-specific orientation provided
