Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a night shift acute care position requiring 2+ years of critical care experience and mechanical ventilation skills.
Details
- Acute care inpatient/ED setting
- Adult patient population
- Handles 5-6 ventilator treatments per day
- Uses EPIC EMR
- Equipment includes 840/980 ventilators, V60, and Vapotherm
- Night shift, 1800-0630
- Every other weekend required
- Possible holiday requirement
- No call or standby requirement
- No floating required
- Never the sole RT in-house during a shift
Requirements
- Active RRT certification preferred; CRT will be considered
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Critical care and mechanical ventilation experience required
- Skilled in drawing and analyzing ABGs from arterial lines and punctures
- Able to assist with intubations
- License required if applicable
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
Additional Information
- Work alongside a lead therapist on each shift who also carries a caseload
- Hospitalist or intensivist coverage available in-house
- Department-specific orientation provided
- No special scrub color or dress code required
