Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with required outpatient experience for a 13-week day-shift assignment in Michigan.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting offering comprehensive family health care services
• Days shift, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts (8:00am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5:00pm)
• No weekend shifts required
• No on-call requirements
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active PT license required (Michigan license required if applicable)
• Compact license not accepted
• Required: prior PT experience
• Required: outpatient experience
• Highly preferred: acute care experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, relevant to PT specialty, required
• Two completed supervisory reference forms within the last two years required
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Additional Information

• Delegates responsibilities to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides
• Evaluates patient function through formal and informal testing of skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status
• Develops and updates goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and patient tolerance
• Submits written treatment plans coordinated with physician orders and co-signs verbal orders as needed
• Devises treatment schedules coordinated with patients, families, and clinical support staff
• Educates patients and families on condition, treatment rationale, and care alternatives
• Dress code includes khaki pants and navy blue logo wear
• Maximum of 5 days of requested RTO during the assignment
• Does not consider local candidates due to radius restriction
