Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week assignment offering no call and every other weekend off.
Details
- Respiratory Therapy unit combined with step down and/or floor assignments
- On average responsible for 8 ventilated patients per unit assignment
- Floor assignments cover 3-4 floors
- Approximately 2-3 intrahospital transports per shift (CT, MRI, Specials)
- Uses Servo i ventilators, V60 BiPAP, and iStat for ABG analysis
- Shift hours 07:00-19:30
- No call requirement
- Every other weekend off
Requirements
- Current RRT certification
- BLS certification (AHA only)
- ACLS certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Provides direct patient care including Respiratory Care and Hyperbaric Medicine procedures for specially trained staff
- Responds to Code Blue and Rapid Response alerts in a timely manner
- Documents patient records, charts, and reports according to policy
- Exercises clinical judgment and assessment skills to guide patient care and monitoring
- Special training areas may include Pulmonary Function Testing, Methacholine Challenges, Hyperbaric Medicine, NICU care, PICU care, and Asthma Education
- Participates in departmental educational activities and meetings
