Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring prior travel and Level I trauma experience.

Details

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a Level I Trauma hospital
• Cares for pediatric through geriatric patient populations
• Uses Epic EMR
• Varied 12-hour shifts covering days and evenings with a 36-hour guarantee
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (temporary license accepted if permanent license has been applied for and is in hand at time of submittal)
• Compact license not accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years critical care experience (ICU/ED) required
• Previous PACU experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms required
• Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations required
• Level I Trauma center experience required
• MN DHS Background Study and fingerprinting required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide holistic nursing care across the lifespan, from neonates through older adults
• Develop and revise patient plans of care, coordinate across disciplines, and delegate appropriately
• Royal blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius of the facility are accepted at a reduced rate
• Candidates with prior work history at this health system must disclose this on their resume
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of application, as late requests may not be honored
• Strict compliance deadline for required documentation by 4pm the Wednesday before start date
