Description
American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring ACLS certification and prior Meditech experience.
Details
- MedSurg/Telemetry unit (4 South) with 36 beds
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- 12-hour night shifts (7P-7A) with every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required
- Floating to other units as needed
- Uses telemetry monitors, Dynamaps, glucometers, iMobile phones, and bladder scanners
- Meditech documentation system
- Unit performs PICC line removal and vas cath/temp cath removal procedures
Requirements
- Active LA RN license or compact license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience required
- Telemetry rhythm interpretation skills required
- Meditech experience required
- Strong assessment skills and ability to detect condition changes
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

- Responsibilities include hourly rounding, bedside shift report, My Care Boards, and AIDET patient experience standards
- Level II Trauma Center, Certified Stroke Center, and Certified Chest Pain Center
- Pathways to Excellence certified facility with HCA Unit of Distinction recognition
- Highly experienced nursing staff with several nationally certified team members
- Self-scheduling available within unit guidelines
- Ceil blue scrubs required per hospital dress code
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- No local candidates accepted
