Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring KY or compact RN licensure and ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department providing 24-hour emergency care for patients with severe injuries or acute illness
• Night shift, 3x12s from 7p-7a
• 36 hours per week across 3 shifts
• 0.9 FTE position

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

• Provides comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, and treatment implementation within RN scope of practice
• Facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Delegates and oversees patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities such as monitoring patient falls, pressure ulcers, and CAUTIs
• Promotes a healing environment through patient and family-centered education and communication
