Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift (7PM-7AM) 13-week travel contract, requiring 3+ years of recent ICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Details

• 10-bed ICU with a staff of 12
• Day shift includes 1 charge RN and 1 AM RN (7a-7p); night shift includes 1 charge RN and 1 PM RN (7p-7a)
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Equipment includes Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machine, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner
• Utilizes Meditech Expanse EMR
• Night shift schedule (7PM-7AM) on a 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend required with no on-call responsibilities
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• 3+ years of recent ICU experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred to demonstrate multitasking and independent thinking
• Experience with STEMI protocol, stroke protocol, conscious sedation, chest tubes, codes, and intubation preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting handling STEMI, stroke, conscious sedation, chest tube, code, and intubation procedures
• Ideal candidates are friendly, honest, flexible, compassionate, and strong multitaskers with excellent critical thinking skills
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
