Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ARRT MR certification and Siemens equipment experience.
Details
- Short term acute care, Level II Trauma teaching hospital setting
- MRI unit with 1:1 patient ratios
- Schedule includes 5x9.5-hour and 2x12-hour day shifts, Thursday through Wednesday, 11:30 AM-9:00 PM weekdays and 7:00 AM-7:30 PM weekends
- On-call required one night per week from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- No weekend requirement and no floating between units
- Uses Siemens Magnetom Vida 3T and GE Signa HDe 1.5T scanners
- Epic charting system required
Requirements
- ARRT MR and BLS certifications required
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required
- Siemens equipment experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Compact state license must be in hand at submission
- License required if applicable
- Community hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Skills in abdominal, pelvic, and neuro MRI including MRA, MRV, and MRCP
- Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE
Additional Information
- Perform MRI imaging across abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, and musculoskeletal regions
- May utilize special imaging techniques such as CINE, diffusion, MIP, and spectroscopy
- Cardiovascular MRI skills including MR angio, aortogram, and cardiac imaging are preferred
- Scrubs provided in sterile units such as OR, ICU, ER, and COVID areas
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
- Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- May be required to float between sister facilities within the same state
- First-time travelers considered given required experience is met
