Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring ARRT (R) certification and OR/C-arm experience.

Details

  • Level II Trauma and Certified Stroke Center with 411 beds, receiving air flights and serving two-thirds of the state
  • Imaging department with 3 X-Ray rooms (2 general, 1 fluoroscopy)
  • Care areas include Outpatient, Inpatient (ED/ICU/MedSurg), and Operating Room
  • Primarily adult/geriatric patients with some pediatric/neonatal cases
  • Performs Fluoroscopy, C-Arm in OR, Ortho & Ortho Trauma, ICU, MedSurg, and ER imaging
  • Uses Cerner EMR and Enterprise Imaging AGFA PACS
  • Equipment includes Siemens Ysio, Siemens Multix Fusion, Siemens Artis Zee, OEC/Siemens/Ziehm C-Arms, and Shimadzu DR Portables
  • 40 hours per week on a variable shift schedule with 4-week scheduling cycles
  • Weekend rotation required, no on-call requirement
  • Floating limited to a fixed location outside the OR or portables for inpatient scans
  • Holiday coverage rotated among staff

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology/Rad Tech specialty
  • Current BLS certification
  • ARRT (R) certification required
  • Compact or Maine state license required, if applicable
  • OR/C-arm experience required
  • Experience with adult, geriatric, and pediatric patient populations across outpatient, inpatient, ED, ICU, MedSurg, and OR settings

Additional Information

  • Support provided by Lead Tech, department administration, internal transport, and on-site radiologist
  • Orientation lasts 1-1.5 weeks depending on experience and comfort level
  • Scrubs may be any solid professional color or facility-provided
  • Free parking available
  • Flu vaccination required for clearance to start, with medical exemptions only considered
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Candidates must not have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity
  • RTO subject to manager approval
