Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center requiring adult and pediatric emergency care experience and TNCC certification.
Details
- Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department at a Level II Trauma Center
- Evening shifts (1500-0330) and night shifts (1900-0730), 3x12-hour schedules
- Includes weekends and holidays
- Epic EMR experience required
- Floating required as needed
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), and TNCC required
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years
- Epic charting experience required
- Level II Trauma Center experience required; Level I Trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment (minimum six months), with extensions highly preferred
- Must pass a Telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including pediatrics, respiratory, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, and trauma cases
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and interpretation of ABGs
- Familiarity with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
- Skilled in triage and isolation precautions/PPE protocols
- Must reside within 50 miles of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Telemetry exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms and passing score of 80% or higher, with up to three attempts allowed
- Free onsite parking available
