Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring WA State or Compact RN licensure and current ACLS/NIHSS certification.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 1900-0730, 3x12s, 36 hrs/week
- May be required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active WA State or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Adherence to Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice required
Additional Information
- Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
- Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
- Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Evaluate and update discharge plans based on patient needs
- Accurately document care provided, assessments, and interventions
- Educate patients and families on relevant health information in a timely manner
- Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff per hospital policy
