Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an LTAC ICU night shift position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and neuro experience.

Details

• LTAC ICU unit within an LTAC hospital setting
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30, 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Standard schedule Monday-Friday with weekend coverage supported by a rotating on-call pool of 6-8 staff members
• On-call coverage after 5pm daily and on weekends supported by primary and backup call techs
• 13 to 26 week assignment options
• Floating to other units or campuses may be required based on census needs, limited to competencies already demonstrated

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, NIHSS also required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Neuro experience required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• Broad critical care skill set required, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, IV titration, and interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to LTAC ICU patients including ventilator weaning, complex wound care, and cardiac monitoring
• Orientation held every Monday along with annual Prisma Health compliance requirements
• Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any Prisma Health facility to be eligible, with reduced eligibility distances for certain specialties
• First-time travelers are not typically considered for this role
