Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week outpatient assignment requiring EPIC experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Outpatient occupational therapy setting
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
- Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) typically off
- Treats patients across all age groups including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Includes Swingbed patient assessments
- EPIC EMR used
- Medication system is Omnicell
Requirements
- License required if applicable
- M.S. or B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Eligible for licensure in ND with current NBCOT registration
- BLS certification required
- 2 years of experience required
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to work independently under general supervision
Additional Information
- Evaluate, plan, and implement occupational therapy programs to restore and enhance patient function
- Perform assessments of physical, psychological, cognitive, and social needs for patients
- Collaborate with rehabilitation team members to design individualized treatment programs
- Design, fabricate, and fit adaptive devices such as splints and braces
- Supervise Rehab Aides, Students, Rehab Secretary/Aide, and COTA staff as needed
- Conduct training for medical and nursing staff on OT techniques
- Provide therapy services for Home Health and contracted facilities or groups
- Perform workplace ergonomic assessments and provide recommendations
- Complete required training modules prior to starting the assignment
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
- Local candidates accepted
- Previous employment at this facility must be disclosed for eligibility review
