Description
American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit position on night shift, requiring 2 years of PCU experience and a compact RN license.
Details
- PCU with 20 beds staffed by 5 RNs and 2 LNAs, flexed with patient volume
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week assignment
- Uses GE cardiac monitoring and Hospira IV pumps
- Charts in the Expanse EMR
- Every other weekend required, or equivalent based on staffing needs
- Floating required to Med Surg, ICU (for border patients), and the Emergency Department (for ED holds)
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Certification required
- 2 years of PCU experience in a hospital setting required
- Strong dysrhythmia recognition and critical drip experience required
- Pre/post cardiac cath and pacer patient care experience preferred
- Prior HCA experience preferred
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care within a progressive care unit setting
- Professional attire required with no specific scrub color mandated
- Team is self-directed and collaborative, valuing strong communication and a positive attitude
- Unit policies and guidelines will be discussed during interview and orientation
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
