Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Center position requiring TNCC certification and MEDITECH experience on a night shift schedule.

Details

• Acute care Emergency Center setting seeing approx. 180-200 patient visits per day
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric, including trauma, neuro, ortho, and CVA cases
• Unit includes a 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psych personnel
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Support staff includes charge nurse, 5-6 nurse aides/paramedics per shift, security/patient sitters, and central monitoring tech
• 24/7 dedicated respiratory therapist support for ventilated patients held in the ER
• Nurses perform own lab draws and start their own IVs
• Uses MEDITECH 6.15 EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week guaranteed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• 17-week assignment with 2 open positions

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and ASLS or NIHSS
• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• MEDITECH EMR experience required
• BSN not required for this position

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care across a wide range of patient acuities and diagnoses
• Complete floor-specific orientation consisting of 2 shifts
• ORT must be completed during the first week of assignment unless otherwise approved by EC leadership
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
• Auto lunch deductions apply
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for placement
• Not eligible for placement if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months
