Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2+ years of recent pediatric ICU experience and at least one prior travel assignment.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU (CVPICU) of a children's hospital
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM)
• Weekend coverage as needed; weekend block scheduling may be considered upon discussion
• Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines (TN or compact license required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent pediatric ICU experience required; 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers not accepted unless 3+ years of recent experience
• BSN required for this position
• Driver's license copy required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
• Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall during the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if 2 holidays fall during the assignment, must work at least 1
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
• Local candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered (strict radius rule, no locals accepted)
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront, as RTO requested after an offer is made will not be honored
