Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level II trauma center, requiring an active NV license and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Level II trauma center Emergency Department with 80 ER beds within an 800-bed hospital
• Fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius with high patient volume comparable to a Level I trauma center
• Night shift schedule, 3x12, 1900-0730
• Floating required to other departments up to competency level
• May include weekend and call shifts depending on department needs
• Required to pick up one additional shift every 4-week schedule period
• Schedule can include holidays

Requirements

• Active NV RN license required prior to start
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
• At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required within the past year
• Epic EMR experience preferred; training or test-out available during orientation

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric ER patients and their families
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as part of the treatment team
• Facility is the region's only Level II Trauma Center, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually
• Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
• Facility may cancel shifts without penalty with 48 hours' notice for low census
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Returning travelers must have a 13-week break after completing a prior contract
• Requested time off must be submitted with initial application and will not be added to the end of the contract
• Blocked scheduling is not permitted
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to travel experience requirement
