Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a PCU/Stepdown position requiring cardiac drip titration experience and a WA or compact RN license.
Details
- Short term acute care Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center teaching hospital
- PCU/Stepdown, DOU/IMC, and Telemetry unit setting
- Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
- Patient ratio of 1:4-5
- Epic charting system required
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted facility
Requirements
- Active WA state or compact RN license required, must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Cardiac drip titration and management experience is a hardstop requirement
- Epic charting experience required
- Vasoactive and cardiac drip management/titration skills required
- Experience with IV therapy, central/PICC/peripheral line care, and blood product administration required
- Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, HFNC, and ABG interpretation required
- Cardiac monitoring skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Response required regarding any prior employment history at a Providence facility
Additional Information
- Care for cardiac telemetry, renal, neurological, and post-surgical cardiac patient populations
- Provide wound care, IV insulin protocol management, and pacemaker care as needed
- Candidates may select one holiday off, either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but not both
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RN scrub colors accepted
- No parking fees at this facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50 mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50 mile radius
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; post-offer time off requests may not be accommodated
