Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a night shift role requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and prior travel experience.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
• 13-week assignment length
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses Epic charting system
• Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius if job specifications are met

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission
• BSN required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient rehab experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
• Prior travel experience within the last 12 months required
• Acute rehab and neuro/stroke unit experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within an acute inpatient rehab setting, including IV therapy, wound care, and mobility assistance
• Care for patients with cardiac, orthopedic, neurological, respiratory, and gastrointestinal conditions
• Perform skills such as central line care, tracheostomy management, feeding tube management, and stroke scale assessments
• Support patient safety initiatives including fall risk prevention, infection control, and pressure ulcer prevention
• Complete required non-billable training modules during pre-start and annually via the UC Learning website
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster required, or documented proof of a scheduled booster appointment before start date
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed and approved at time of offer; no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
