Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care/Telemetry position requiring ventilator and transplant experience along with a passing telemetry exam score.
Details
- Work across two IMC units: Acute Med/Progressive Care and Thoracic
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00pm-7:30am
- Every other weekend required
- Some holidays required
- Floating required as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active WI RN or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience within the last 3 years in specialty
- Must have experience in an Academic Level I or II trauma center or similar size hospital
- Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
- Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
- Ventilator and post-transplant care experience required
- Must pass telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start
Additional Information
- Provide telemetry and cardiac monitoring care including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Utilize rapid response/code teams as needed
- Care of ventilated and post-transplant patients
- Telemetry exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms and no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions on adult exam
- Two exam attempts allowed; a third attempt requires submission of a cardiac interpretation review course certificate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility as local candidates are not accepted
- Parking permit required if parking onsite, though alternative transportation options are available
- Located at a Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital and referral center
