Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Acute care hospital and outpatient clinic settings
• Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Treats patients with orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, and geriatric conditions
• Utilizes equipment such as Hoyer lifts, gait belts, walkers, wheelchairs, and specialty beds
• Performs modalities including cervical/lumbar traction, cryotherapy, e-stim, and ultrasound
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• CA state PT license required if applicable
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong skills in assessment, documentation, and patient/family education
• Experience with adaptive and assistive devices, gait training, and post-op rehabilitation preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge documentation
• May float between sister facilities within the same health system as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
• All time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Returning former employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Accepted at a lower bill rate for candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position
