Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a night shift role requiring ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications and at least 1 year of telemetry experience.

Details

• Acute care Magnet-designated hospital setting on a Telemetry unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15)
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Float required between two campuses within scope as needed
• Assists with bedside procedures including line insertion and thoracentesis
• Manages cardiac drips (no titration required)
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response
• Experience managing cardiac drip medications

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-focused nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Navy scrub color required
• Maximum of 7 days RTO within the 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for consideration
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Returning permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• Standard travelers may work up to 18 months total, followed by a required 3-month break in service
