Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift resource pool position requiring 2 years of MS/Tele experience and SC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• MS/Tele unit within a resource float pool covering multiple campuses
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Floating required to other units and campuses within scope as needed
• On-call required, with either 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks
• Epic charting experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required (pending license accepted, must be obtained before start)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele experience preferred; 1 year considered on a case-by-case basis
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day of orientation

Additional Information

• Resource pool RN assigned primarily to one campus with potential to float to another campus as needed
• Schedule assignments communicated in advance
• Must be able to pass a fit test, which may require shaving facial hair
• Attendance policy in place; missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of initial consideration; requests made afterward will not be accommodated
• Previous permanent staff at this health system are not eligible to return as travelers
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
