Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in a high-acuity mixed unit requiring strong telemetry, rapid response, and total joints experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 210 staffed beds
• Med/Surg Tele unit with mixed high-acuity Cardiac Tele/PCU patient population
• 1:6 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00-19:00)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Floating required within scope
• Uses Meditech charting system
• No block scheduling permitted
• Mandatory clinical orientation week requiring 5 shifts (36-40 hours)

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 1:6 patient ratio experience required (1:5 experience may be considered if clearly stated)
• Strong telemetry experience required
• Rapid Response team experience required
• Total joints experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Meditech charting experience required
• Nursys report dated within the past 14 days required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care in a high-acuity mixed Med/Surg Tele, Cardiac Tele, and PCU environment
• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces
• Increased coverage needed for 18-24 weeks spanning holidays, with no RTO allowed 11/25-11/27, 12/24-12/25, and 12/31-1/1
• No RTO permitted during the first or last week of the assignment
• Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted, subject to manager approval
• Schedules may be adjusted up to 48 hours before a shift, and such changes do not qualify for guaranteed hours
• More than 3 call-outs per assignment may result in early termination
• Candidates must reside more than 30 miles from the facility
• Travel pairs and trios are not permitted
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
