Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a community hospital day shift position requiring 2+ years experience and Meditech EMR proficiency.

Details

• Community hospital setting within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Uses Meditech EMR
• High patient-to-caregiver ratios with frequent floating within the hospital, in accordance with clinical experience and Joint Commission floating standards
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Meditech EMR experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, CRT, NRP, RRT (ACLS and PALS preferred)
• Valid state license required if applicable
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of the facility

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across adult critical care, emergency department, and pediatric/NICU settings as needed
• Perform ventilator management, airway management, and pulmonary hygiene procedures
• Administer nebulizer treatments and various inhaled medications
• Care for patients with conditions such as ARDS, COPD, cystic fibrosis, and RSV
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates not accepted; 50-mile radius restriction applies for assignment eligibility
• Previous employees must have been gone at least 1 year and in good standing at time of departure to be considered
• Minimal to no RTO permitted, especially during the first weeks of the assignment
• Facility will not accept candidates with background or licensure issues
