Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Trauma Level II experience and a minimum of 5 years of OR nursing experience for a mid-shift assignment.
Details
- General OR and Trauma work settings
- Mid-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 10:30am-7pm
- Weekday, weekend, and holiday call required
- May include charge nurse duties
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active TX RN license (or compact) required in-hand
- Minimum of 5 years of OR nursing experience required
- Trauma Level II experience required
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Skilled in a wide range of surgical specialties including neurology, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, bariatrics, and robotics-assisted procedures
- Experience with equipment such as electrosurgical units, Da Vinci Xi, Mako Surgical System, and Hana Table
- Proficient in professional OR skills such as conscious sedation monitoring, specimen handling, wound management, and universal protocol procedures
- Must provide RTO with consideration
- Must provide current ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications and Nursys verification for consideration
Additional Information
- Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties
- Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive results
- Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen
- Must reside outside a 110-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- Travel experience is highly preferred though not required
- Clinicians must complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer or have a completion plan in place
