Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Center PACU position requiring pediatric and geriatric patient care experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• PACU setting within a Level I Trauma Center and Level II pediatric trauma facility
• Cares for pediatric and geriatric patient populations
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule (12-hour shifts)
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Compact licenses not accepted; active MN RN license required

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (temporary license accepted if permanent license has been applied for)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (ICU/ED) required
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Prior travel nursing assignment experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms
• Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year, pertinent to specialty
• Two supervisory references with employment dates required

Additional Information

• Provide holistic nursing care across the lifecycle, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans
• Coordinate care among disciplines and delegate tasks to other care providers as appropriate
• Participate in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices
• Royal blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with North Memorial Health, Maple Grove Hospital, or Blaze Health LLC on their resume
• MN DHS Background Study & Fingerprinting required for all patient-facing positions
• Local candidates residing within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers and subject to a reduced rate
• RTO requests must be submitted at time of application and may not be honored if requested afterward
