Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, offering exposure to a wide range of neurological and orthopedic diagnoses.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting with 36 beds
• Patient ratio of 5 to 6 patients
• Patient population includes geriatric and adult patients with neuro, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, amputee, and medically complex diagnoses
• Common diagnoses include CVA, Parkinson's, spinal cord injury, TBI, and orthopedic conditions
• Uses Wellsky EHR
• Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend hours as needed
• No call or float requirements

Requirements

• Current state PT licensure required (if applicable)
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy preferred but not required
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English required; additional languages preferred
• AHA certifications required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing patient needs, initiating appropriate PT interventions, and supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy Techs
• Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team to maintain standards of professional practice
• Evaluates treatment effectiveness and progress toward short- and long-term goals, recommending changes to physician as needed
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Permanent address must be more than 60 miles from the facility
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Open to first-time travelers
