Description

American Traveler is hiring a NICU RN for a day shift position requiring an active CA RN license and NRP certification.

Details

  • Work in the Neonatal ICU (NICU) of a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule, 07:00 AM-07:30 PM, 36-48 hours per week

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current BLS certification from an approved vendor required
  • Current NRP certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the NICU specialty required, 3 years preferred for critical care specialties
  • Recent experience within the last 3 months in the specialty required
  • BSN preferred
  • Acute care facility experience preferred
  • No prior negative licensure actions permitted

Additional Information

  • Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned neonatal patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
  • Supervises and directs nursing staff activities and coordinates care with other disciplines
  • Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to determine diagnoses and care plans
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing care
  • Participates in discharge planning and provides patient/family education
  • Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be automatically declined
  • Local candidates accepted with no radius rule; local rates are the same as travel rates
  • Required vaccinations must be completed as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
