Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a critical access hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 17-bed Medical Surgical unit within a critical access hospital providing inpatient, observation, and swing bed services
• Progressive Care specialty with adult patient population, most patients 65+
• Patient ratio of 1:6 maximum
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend requirement, with additional weekend shifts available if desired
• No on-call requirements
• Potential float between Med-Surg units at two area facilities
• Uses Paragon EHR

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with PICC/CVC management and wound care required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Work alongside a collaborative team including PT/OT/Speech, RT, and 24-hour provider coverage
• 24-hour CT, X-Ray, and lab services available onsite
• No surgeries performed in this facility
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment
