Description
American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN for a Pediatric OR position requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 2 years of OR experience.
Details
- Operating Room unit at a Level I trauma pediatric medical center with 14 ORs plus 2 endoscopy procedure rooms
- Weekday schedule, Monday-Friday, 5/8-hour shifts, 06:30-15:00
- Call required
- 13-week assignment
- Perform both circulating and scrub nurse duties for pediatric surgical patients
- Document patient care using the facility's Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required prior to start
- BLS certification (AHA) required within 30 days of hire
- ACLS or other Advanced Life Support certification required within 180 days of hire
- Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent professional licensure required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- 2+ years of OR RN experience preferred
- Pediatric OR RN experience a plus
- Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start required
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start required
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
- Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows and communication
- Maintain sterile technique and prepare instruments to assist surgeons during procedures
- Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
- COVID vaccination is not required
