Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool night shift role requiring an active AL or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent specialty experience.
Details
- Acute Care Float Team position covering Med/Surg Telemetry units
- Requires floating to other units and hospitals within the health system
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Uses Meditech EMR (not required for consideration)
- 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
Requirements
- Active RN license - State of Alabama or Compact (no temporary licenses accepted)
- Associate degree in nursing required
- AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required
- NURSYS verification required
- Minimum 2 years overall specialty experience required; candidates with 18 months of experience under the highest level of professional license and 1 year of recent specialty experience will be considered
- No history of license actions, past or current, allowed
Additional Information
- Float pool role supporting Med/Surg Telemetry patients across the facility
- Solid navy scrubs required per dress code
- On-site cardiac exam required in addition to online pre-test, to be completed shortly after offer acceptance
- Virtual orientation includes competency-based modules
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no mile radius restrictions
- Parking available on-site
