Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of inpatient med/surg experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details
- Medical Surgical unit setting
- Day shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 36 or 48 hour scheduling options available
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient med/surg experience required
- Epic charting experience required within 6 months of start
- Experience with isolation precautions and PPE
- Skilled in respiratory care including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care and management
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
- Onboarding requires completion of core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
