Description
American Traveler is hiring a Fetal Echo Sonographer with ARDMS Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography certification to perform fetal echocardiography for a pediatric hospital's cardiology program.
Details
- Pediatric cardiology department specializing in fetal echocardiography, not fetal ultrasound
- Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- No call and no weekends required
- Uses Samsung Hera W10 fetal cardiac systems
- Epic charting system preferred
- May float within the hospital system, potentially to another campus
Requirements
- ARDMS Pediatric (PE) and Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification required
- License required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fetal echocardiography preferred
- Associate's degree in a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior travel experience required
- Experience with 2D optimization and 3D manipulation ultrasound techniques
Additional Information
- Perform fetal echocardiograms, including obtaining patient history and providing physicians with oral summaries of diagnostic findings
- Analyze exam data and prepare preliminary written reports for physician review
- Collaborate with fetal radiologists, MFM physicians, and surgical teams during fetal surgical procedures
- Assist with teaching fellows, visitors, and new staff members
- May participate in clinical research related to prenatal cardiovascular disease
- In-depth training provided
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to local pay rates
- Previous employees of this facility are ineligible to apply within 1 year of their termination date
- RTO must be submitted at time of application and cannot exceed 5 days total
- First-time travelers will be considered
