Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a day shift hospital position requiring EPIC and Cerner experience.
Details
- Respiratory/Pulmonary department within a hospital setting
- Provides respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients
- Day shift hours, 36 hours per week
- Requires experience in both EPIC and Cerner EMR systems
Requirements
- NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT credential required
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required in CA - license required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required within the last 3 months
- Cerner and EPIC experience must be documented in employment history
Additional Information
- Assesses and documents appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapy for patients
- Administers aerosol and oxygen therapy and maintains patient charts
- Draws arterial blood gases per policy and physician order
- Provides care to ventilator patients
- Assists with department record keeping and participates in training and supervision of new employees
- Documents care given and maintains treatment records
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel rate with no radius restriction
