Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Hospice position requiring OASIS and HCHB experience with a minimum of one year of recent hospice or home health nursing experience.

Details

Home Health/Hospice setting caring for a geriatric patient population
Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day with a weekly requirement of 30 visits
Territory covers up to a 60-mile radius from the hub office
On-call rotation may be required
All charting must be completed by 9 AM the following morning

Requirements

Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
BLS certification required
Minimum of 1 year of recent hospice or home health nursing experience required
OASIS experience required for completing Start of Care assessments
Proficiency in HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR required
Active driver's license and personal transportation required

Additional Information

Provide end-of-life and palliative care including symptom management, pain assessment, and postmortem care
Support patients and families with education, counseling, and goal setting throughout the care process
Address ethical and legal considerations such as advanced directives and medical futility
iPad provided for documentation; personal cell phone use not required
Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
Dress code requires scrubs of any color; jeans not permitted
First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
Former permanent employees must be separated for at least 6 months and approved by HR before returning as a traveler
Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
Travel pairs accepted, provided each traveler is assigned to their own territory and has independent transportation
RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
Timely communication and documentation are mandatory throughout the assignment
