Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department role at a coastal critical access hospital, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.

• Emergency Department setting within a 25-bed critical access hospital
• Variable shift schedule, mostly mid-shift (1300-0130) with occasional night shift (1900-0730)
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• TNCC certification preferred
• S.T.A.B.L.E certification required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years of recent ER experience required
• Recent experience within the last 3 months in the specialty required
• Cerner and Epic experience must be noted in employment history if applicable

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct various levels of assigned nursing staff
• Coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe, healing care
• Participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
• Provide health information and education to patients, families, and the treatment team
• Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
• Position is represented by UFCW
• Required vaccinations must be maintained as a condition of employment
• Local candidates accepted with no radius rule and local rates equal to travel rates
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
• Candidates with a prior licensure action will not be considered
• Traveler may only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
