Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a day shift acute care position requiring CA RN licensure, ACLS, BLS, and EPIC experience.
Details
- Med/Surg Acute unit within a critical access hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 0700-1930, up to 36 hours per week
- Uses EPIC EMR system
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience, with recent experience within the last 3 months
- BSN and acute care facility experience preferred
- No prior license disciplinary actions permitted
Additional Information
- Delivers coordinated nursing care to an assigned patient group, supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff
- Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate care
- Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care
- Provides patient and family education throughout the care process
- Located in a small coastal community offering access to redwood forests, beaches, and outdoor recreation
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
- No radius rule applies; local candidates are paid the same rate as travelers
- All required vaccinations are mandatory as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions considered
