Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient/inpatient role in a critical access hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Critical access hospital offering outpatient, inpatient, and home visit services with a swing bed program in a rural community
• Three outpatient PT clinics with additional inpatient coverage as needed based on staffing
• Flexibility required to shift between outpatient and inpatient areas depending on facility needs
• Day shift options include 4x10 hour or 5x8 hour schedules, with weekly hours ranging from 34-40 depending on census
• Weekend coverage required every third weekend
• No on-call requirements and no floating to sister facilities
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with orthopedic conditions including cervicalgia, low back pain, post-op cervical/shoulder/spinal surgery, and joint replacements preferred
• Experience with neurologic conditions such as post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury preferred
• Skilled in patient assessment techniques including AROM/AAROM/PROM, strength testing, and vital sign monitoring
• Familiarity with modalities such as TENS, ultrasound, and moist heat preferred
• Experience with wound/ulcer assessment and simple dressing changes preferred
• Strong time management and documentation skills required
