Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 12-hour day shift position requiring a WI or compact RN license and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Medical Unit setting caring for an adult med-surg patient population
• Day shift schedule (6:30A-7P) on a 13-week assignment
• 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required
• Floating to other units may be required

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• BLS/BCLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Education verification required for consideration
• Prior med-surg nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care
• Administer medications and treatments per approved nursing standards and policies
• Develop and execute individualized patient plans of care in coordination with physicians
• Document care according to established standards
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance
• Provide clinical guidance and support to other units as part of the patient's longitudinal care plan
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command
• Holiday coverage is required
