Description

American Traveler is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN with cardiac telemetry experience and a compact or NC RN license for a night shift travel assignment.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting within a hospital
• Patient population requiring cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• No call responsibilities
• Floating required to any Cone Health campus as needed
• Epic EMR used

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
• Experience with peripheral line and PICC line care/management required
• Experience titrating drips required
• PCU-specific ratio experience (1:5) required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed)

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing dysrhythmias, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and providing peripheral/PICC line care
• May be required to float between all Cone Health campuses as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are eligible
• RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
