Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2+ years of cardiac telemetry experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• PCU setting with cardiac telemetry patient population
• 1:5 patient ratio
• Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00am-7:30pm
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• No call requirements
• Floating required to any Cone Health campus as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
• Peripheral line care/management and PICC line management experience required
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (Pass/Fail, two attempts allowed)
• Valid driver's license required to verify address for radius compliance

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response for telemetry patients
• Manage peripheral and PICC lines, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility with no local rates offered
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Travel experience is not required
• RTO requests must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• Study materials for the EKG compliance exam are not provided by the facility
