Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care/LTAC position requiring a minimum of two years of LTAC experience and MS or compact RN licensure.

Details

• 100-bed LTAC facility setting
• Care for geriatric, short-term, and post-acute/LTAC/trach patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:20
• Nurse Practitioner on duty 7a-4:30p Monday-Friday with ancillary assistance available
• 12-hour day shifts, 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Schedule options include Mon/Th/Fri/Tu or Wed/Sat/Sun, or a 36/48 split
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required to units within competencies
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active MS or compact RN license required
• BLS (AHA) certification required, ACLS preferred
• Minimum two years of LTAC experience required
• 400+ bed or Level 2 trauma experience strongly preferred
• Prior travel experience preferred, though strong first-time travelers may be considered
• Must pass a pre-assignment Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) test with a minimum score of 80%
• Full date of birth, Social Security number, and RTO required for consideration

• Scheduling based on facility need with no block or self-scheduling options
• Complete availability and scheduling flexibility required
• Contracted position must be maintained as primary work commitment
• Scrub color provided upon assignment
• Fingerprinting process must begin within 48 hours of offer acceptance
• Compliance documents due 7 days before start date
• COVID vaccine and flu shot not required; if declined, a mask must be worn at all times except during meals
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent or per diem staff at this health system in the last 12 months
• Local candidates accepted
• Local rate available within 50 miles, radius rate also available
• First week does not include guaranteed hours
