Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a hospital-based role requiring ARRT (N) and CMNT certification with prior travel experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department
• Adult patient population
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Weekend shifts as needed
• Performs bone scans, thyroid studies, renal flow studies, lung scans, brain scans, liver/spleen scans, and cardiac nuclear studies
• Conducts MUGA scans, HIDA scans, gastric emptying studies, and tumor localization procedures
• Utilizes SPECT imaging and MPI Cardio SPECT
• Experience with GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, or Toshiba equipment

Requirements

• Current ARRT (N) and CMNT certification required, National certification
• BLS certification required
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• ARRT (R), NCT, NMTCB, and PET certifications preferred
• ACLS certification preferred
• Skilled in drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Experience with storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
• Experience with adenosine infusion, Persantine infusion, and pharmacological stress testing preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging and cardiac stress testing procedures
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Prior permanent employees of the facility are not eligible for travel assignments
• Maximum requested time off is 7 days
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
• Candidates may be submitted with a pending license
