Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Cardiac Care ICU with recent specialty experience and current AHA BLS/ACLS certifications required.
Details
- Work in a highly specialized 20-bed Cardiac Care ICU providing care for open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients
- Utilizes specialized equipment including intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers
- 12-hour day shifts with schedule varying between 7A-7P
- 3 shifts per week on a deferred schedule
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in cardiac ICU specialty required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CCRN and NIH Stroke Scale certifications preferred
Additional Information
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) plus 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
- Returning staff who previously worked permanently at the facility must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler
- RTO must be requested upfront at time of submission and cannot be requested after an offer is made
