Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring a KY or compact RN license, with new grads welcome to apply.

Details

• Work in a 41-bed inpatient Cardiac Telemetry/Progressive/Respiratory Care unit
• Care for medical and surgical patients with cardiac dysrhythmia, respiratory illness, and altered hemodynamics requiring telemetry monitoring
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Uses telemetry monitoring equipment

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, implement care plans, and coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Provide patient and family-centered education and support discharge planning with case management
• Collaborate with an inter-professional care team and delegate tasks appropriately
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, fall prevention, and documentation audits
