Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist with ARRT (R) certification and CT certification to perform diagnostic X-ray procedures in a hospital setting.

Details

  • Radiology department setting
  • 4x9 hour day shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty
  • ARRT (R) certification required
  • CT certification required
  • BLS certification (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start
  • License required if applicable
  • Active license required with no pending status allowed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer applications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a multi-functional team
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures including patient positioning, immobilization, and transfer for examinations
  • Operate X-ray imaging and related equipment appropriately
  • Coordinate X-ray examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care
  • Follow provider imaging orders and submit required images to Radiologist for interpretation
  • Evaluate image quality and maintain open communication with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership
  • Prepare and administer contrast per Radiologist protocol
  • Follow Radiation Safety Measures (ALARA) to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Practice sterile technique and follow infection prevention policies
  • Supervise and evaluate student radiographers in the clinical setting
  • Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required; use of an existing badge from a previous employer is encouraged to maintain continuous exposure history
  • Returning staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for a travel assignment
