Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 1+ years of specialty experience for a fast-paced cardiac cath lab requiring ARRT certification.

Details

• Cath Lab Tech unit within a cardiac catheterization lab setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call requirements include 1 late call per week (5:30 PM-7:30 PM), 1 overnight call per week (5:30 PM-7:00 AM), and 1-2 weekend calls per 6-week schedule (Friday 5:30 PM to Monday 7:00 AM)
• Preferred experience with Philips Single and Bi-Plane Angiography equipment
• Required use of Epic and McKesson charting systems
• May float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Rad Tech license in KY through ARRT required before start; pending license accepted at time of consideration
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year experience in the specialty, with Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required (PALS may be obtained prior to start date)
• EKG onboarding exam required
• Epic EHR experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Skills required include EKG lead placement, sterile field maintenance, hemodynamic monitoring, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, temporary pacemaker insertion, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with TAVR, Watchman, ASD closures, cardiac stent placement, ECMO, and Impella insertion preferred
• Experience with electrophysiology procedures including AICD insertion/programming, LAA closure, and pacemaker insertion preferred
• Familiarity with Rotablader, venous access, and rhythm interpretation using McKesson preferred

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of cardiac catheterization, structural heart, and electrophysiology procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, coronary interventions, valve replacements, and device implants
• Serve as room circulator and maintain sterile field during procedures
• Complete annual and orientation training modules specific to the specialty
• Does not accept candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility for this specialty
• Returning UK-affiliated staff must have a 6-month gap before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to starting the assignment
