Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level III trauma center requiring 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT R certification.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department with rotating on-call coverage
- Level III trauma center
- Does not perform neuro cases
- 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on non-holidays
- On-call coverage required for all other hours: 15-hour weeknight call beginning at 4:00 PM and 24-hour weekend/holiday call beginning at 7:00 AM
- Rotational on-call coverage required
- Epic charting system used
- Blocked scheduling not accommodated
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- BLS and ARRT R certification required
- ACLS and ARRT VI certification preferred
- Epic experience required
- License required if applicable
- Skilled in Interventional Radiology, Special Procedures, and Genitourinary Studies/Procedures
- Experience with vascular closure systems, embolization, angioplasty, stent placement, and various angiography procedures
- Experience with venous access, central venous lines, and PICC line care and maintenance
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of IR procedures including angioplasty, embolization, chemoembolization, IVC filter placement/removal, biopsy, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, TIPS, and dialysis graft interventions
- Maintain sterile field and scrub in for procedures
- Responsible for room circulation, equipment set up, and accurate patient monitoring during procedures
- Maintain and stock equipment and supplies
- Use fluoroscopy, Philips imaging equipment, ultrasound, and PACS systems
- Follow infection control and sterile technique protocols
- Scrubs provided
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted within 50-mile radius at a local rate
